    Is this song really that bad ?

    So I've started posting my songs on newgrounds and all of the one's i've posted are getting and average 4.5

    but then i just finished a track with a much different style than i normally do, I suppose you could call it trance / IDM lol i don't know what it is i just had the inspiration to make it and i had a lot of fun doing it.

    BUT it's received a 2.5 rating. My question is, what did i do wrong ? what makes this song so much worse than the other ones.

                  No. It doesn't sound too bad.

                  Personally, I don't like the Newgrounds reviewing system, primarily because people just rate songs without commenting.

                              As i'm listening to it now it's really good, Not quite the best but it's not a 2.5 at all, thats some guy just being a jerk. i'd give it a 4 or a very low 5. Good work though

                                  Anyways, it's not a bad track. Though you have the same trouble with mixing/mastering as I do. All of my stuff sounds like crap when I upload it to Newgrounds. ><

                                      I just don't like how your percussion sounds. It's really lacking any dynamics whatsoever and while nicely chopped, isn't all that interesting. Also, all the stuff really doesn't fit that well together...

                                          i liked the whole song, calm and relaxing dnb.

                                          edit: except for the vocal parts really, i hate vocals in songs for the most part.

                                              Ipatch.
                                              There are 3 different drum layers throughout the song i'm not quite sure where you're coming from as far as lack of percussion dynamics.

                                                          Okay, here's a better way to put it. The song is really rolled off in the higher freqs, and thus loses a lot of the energy. Most of this energy is lost because of how rolled off pretty much all of the percussion is.
