    Stepping tips.

In a section of music where you have two independent parts going, is it better to step both and hope it does not feel like a mass of notes for no good reason or to only step one of them and hope it does not feel understepped?

depends... when you step both, it's called layering. and really, it's a judgment call as well as a skill. knowing when and where to layer as well as how to layer properly.

at many times though, it will come off as being overstepped.

stargroup's guide to making gud ffr sims

step 1: pick a song (remember it must be ver generic and electronic constant bpm)

step 2: roll a dice, add 20, multiply by 3, roll the dice again and multiply by that number there's your bpm

step 3: set interval to 64th notes and hit record

      step 4: mash away

      step 5: add moar death

      step 6: add moar jacks

step 7: record again, keep mashing

step 8: submit to tass and wala u did u

      key things to remember
      - DO NOT FOLLOW THE MUSIC OR ELSE YOUR TASS WILL REJECT YOUR FILE
      - DO NOT MAKE FILE FUN OR TASS WILL REJECT YOUR FILE
      - DO NOT PICK A GOOD SONG OR TASS WILL REJECT YOUR FILE
      - DO NOT MAKE YOUR FILE GOOD OR TASS WILL REJECT YOUR FILE
      - TASS WILL REJECT YOUR FILE

            Correct pronunciation of my s/n:

            (tē-kā'-păv'ə-nīn'-yū-kŏn)

Abbreviations of my s/n that make me go or make me want to rip my eyeballs out of their sockets:

pavon, pavonin (um... what's a pavonin???)

Correct abbreviations that put a on my face:

pav, pavo, TK_pav, pavonine (which is an actual word and I prefer it much more with the "e"), pkon, and anything else as long as it makes sense

Try both and see which is more fun to play, and make sure it fits with the rest of the music (aka don't be like Tetris Remix, where it has 2 hard sections and the rest of the song is piss-easy).

Pretty much what I always do. Except my BPM goes like this:
Roll a dice. write down the number now take 22/7 and multiply it 3.14 add 69 and subtract 13.37 now take it times the number you have writen down.
                It's scientifically proven.

Right, because all songs are one of six possible BPMs. :P
