awsome! You make music? That's so cool! I'll step one if one of my batch songs gets +'d or +?'d, that way I know that I have some stepping skill, despite JX telling me that already

Hmm, possibly. I'm working on one at the moment, but when it's done I'll look at some of the songs.

I call FMO/FGO on Randomness Reactor. Great songs. Just out of curiosity, what did you use?

              Magix Music Maker.
Sounds easy but wasn't all that easy to make. Took quite a while to make quality music with that thing.
And yeah please do step it, cause if I have to step it myself it would look dumb.

Random Reactor III is up. Should be the final song of that style.
              Gonna learn FL Studio now

                Samples.

                Nice.

Learning Fruity Loops would be your best bet at making decent sounding music. But for a start... meh?

                Just learn FL Studio.
                Correct pronunciation of my s/n:

                (tē-kā'-păv'ə-nīn'-yū-kŏn)

Abbreviations of my s/n that make me go or make me want to rip my eyeballs out of their sockets:

pavon, pavonin (um... what's a pavonin???)

Correct abbreviations that put a on my face:

pav, pavo, TK_pav, pavonine (which is an actual word and I prefer it much more with the "e"), pkon, and anything else as long as it makes sense

                  Re: New permission.

I tend to feel that starting with fl will make your music turn out pretty generic in the end

start with sibelius or something. it's more difficult, but you'll have a much better grasp of the basic aspects and your music will end up becoming very rich and detailed

of course midi quality is kinda bad but if you do it right it still sounds really good (oster project). you can always switch over later on

EDIT: uh, just just knowing your scales and stuff is not enough. really. mess around with acoustic instruments before you even attempt samples. it'll give you a much better idea of what kinds of sounds you want.

                    Re: New permission.

Well, if you have musical ability, as in you've played an instrument before and know the octave scales and such by the back of your hand, then Fruity Loops is THE music maker for you.

However, like many other musicians who compose music on their computer, I guess starting off with samples would be a more appropriate approach towards the music making community. But, I suggest that once you get comfortable with the Music Maker programs, which you'll find with enough experience that this is a very beginner outlook on making good music, you should move on to more difficult programs like Fruity Loops.
