While it is rising, it's still a small minority. About 1 million teens get pregnant a year. As teenagers who get pregnant are often not using contraception, and just enjoying the 'experience', they often are unaware of the consequences of their actions. But I seriously doubt teenage pregnancy will EVER be the norm. Considering that many women are fertile from 12-13 all the way to 40+, most pregnancies will occur beyond the teenage years. And over half of all teenage pregnancies are 17 or over.

Celebrities are stupid, but thousands of people still follow after them.
That's actually partially why this article was made.
When you see people like Jamie Spears getting pregnant at her age, it's no wonder there's an obvious rise. Many many people look up to J. Spears, sadly.
