Now, normally I'm not the type for aggressive recommendations, but I feel like taking a page from some other users' book.
GO WATCH BACCANO!, NOW! It's awesome, it has an cast of characters you'll fall in love with, it's only 13 episodes, and it's unlicensed. If you even so much as call yourself an anime fan, you need to see this series, get others to see this series, buy the DVDs if they get licensed, get others to buy the DVDs, and then maybe, maybe, more of the novels will get an adaptation.
I'm not certain of this board's stance on unlicensed material, so I'm not gonna directly link to a torrent (which should be pathetically easy to find if you know where to look), unless I'm given a go-ahead by someone.
