The full version of my Icecap remix.

    Here's the updated version.

Since I still haven't bought some of the instruments in the song (that are only there because of the FL demo), I'm leaving my FL window open so I can adjust things following criticism.

Damn. I never thought I could do this for 6+ hours straight with no TV on...

So, before some freak accident happens:

    -Are your ears hurting?
    -Is it clipping at all?
-Is there anything I can add/change/remove to make it sound better?
-Should I get rid of the VG samples?
-A convenience: Do you have any tips/.wav files that might help with bass distortion? If so, please tell me.

Re: The full version of my Icecap remix.

Ah...I remember those days of having to use the FL Demo. They sucked, I never liked having to start and finish a track in one sitting. It usually took forever. But I can say you're better than me when I was your age. I had good ideas, I just didn't know how to...express them, as it were.

    First Thoughts:
Not bad, but the random Sonic FX don't exactly fit, in my opinion. Instead of placing them randomly, make some sort of beat out of them. I've yet to hear that sort of thing in a Sonic remix and it'd be a nice change.

The WIP in it's entirety is...well, bland. Not much variety, just the normal Ice Cap track with FL synths and a kick drum. There's the one seemingly original section you have, which is a good way to go. One thing you should know as a musician is when you remix a track, people want to hear something fresh, not something that's been done ten times over. I'm not saying you shouldn't remix this track, but you should add your own personality to it, if you know what I mean. So...add more original stuff!

Overall, keep at it. It's a decent start, but you've still got a ways to go.

I might keep this one and remember to redo it one day, because a lot of times when I do jumpstyle I tend to have EQ problems. I'll see if compressing it helps.

Yeah, I definitely need to get back to this.

I've toned down all of the synths a bit so I can hear the kick. I also figured out where I was having EQ problems.

I'm not going to edit the sounds until I get more feedback about them.

          - The jump style beat isn't dominant enough. It just feels like the beats itself have very little purpose in the song.

Overall, it's not bad...but it's just generic and boring. Although I'll cut you some slack because you still have a lot of inexperience with composing and arranging.
Do you think that another synth tone-down would help with the jumpstyle beat? Or possibly a different kick?

The only reason why I use that one is because (out my usual collection) it probably has the the best reverb without being completely invisible. I guess I need to take my mind off the reverb, since that kick is killing the quality.
