Why us black people can use the "n" word.

Why do us black people use the word ***** towards eachother?

NOTE: I don't use the "n" word generally, however if you with or against my theory, post here.

    My "n" word theory:

We have rised from nigggers to negroes. We deserve the right to call eachother nigggers or *****s because we went through the job of a nigggers (*****s). The times of nigggers (*****s) were hard. White Men tortured us, threatened us, raped us, restricted us, and hated us.
Other races cannot call anyone a respectfully and niggger or a ***** because that's sort of like demoting us. We can demote ourselves as a human being anytime we want if we promoted ourselves from that position. Having people demote other people is hurtful. Some other reasons we call eachother *****s is just to play around/slang.

    ***** - Brotha, Sista,

Of course since it is slang, doesn't that mean others can say it too? No. However, some races use the term ***** as a slang if they are companied by black people. If you earn black people's respect, the word is free for you to use.

Aren't other races using the word racist?

    - It depends. If other races force the word, they are forcing it to fit in with black people or insult them. Commonly black people use it because it's in their language. It just slips out:

EX: Ma ***** (Ma brotha, Ma Sista)

The word came from slavery. Of course slavery is history, but the word still remains with the same definition used to offend black people.
People misinterpret the word '*****' from the word 'niggger' Back in slavery times it didn't really matter which word was used. It meant the same thing: The word 'niggger' was used first during slavery, then the shorter version '*****' became used in the south. In our time, black people use the word '*****' towards eachother. It can be used in anyway. I'll categorize this into groups so it won't get anymore confusing:

    Positive phrases

    - What's up, *****? (the phrase "what's up" simply covers the hateful word '*****' and turns it into a greeting rather than hate.)

    - One of my *****s was robbed yesterday. (this time the word '*****' is used like the word 'friend.' The word 'my' covers up the word '*****s' and turns into the word 'friend.')

    Negative phrases

    - I hate you, *****. (since the word 'hate' is linked to the word '*****,' this whole statement is negative. The slang word '*****' is turned into the slavery word 'niggger,' because since the statement says hate + *****, the word 'hate' is taken as the sentence: I hate (specific thing(s)) In this case, most likely the statement will offend the black man because the whole thing sounds racist. Even if the word '*****' was replaced by the word 'niggger,' it wouldn't really matter because as long as the word 'hate' is in there it doesn't really matter.)

    Neither

    - I don't like the word 'niggger' (this person is telling his or her opinion of the word. The word isn't used positively or negatively. The person is talking about the word itself.

    Why I made this topic!

I made this topic to explain why black people are allowed to use the "n" word. I don't use it, I don't like it. I'm just telling you guys why black people use it and are allowed to use it without getting in trouble.

"That just will not do." was keywii's response as she lunged for the scissors, pulled the blades apart, and clamped them down on the base of foil's shaft. Blood start gushing out of the wound where his penis used to be.
      "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Yelled Foil in horror.
"Don't worry. I'm a wizard" uttered Keywii. And with that, Foil's penis grew back.

Why would it get locked? This thread is completely accepted in all of the forums I posted it in.

I think that having a word that is only allowed to be used by certain "races" only encourages the idea of races, which will only lead to racism.

So in a way I think Grandi is right........ Seriously.

                damien here's my thoughts..

i agree with windsurfer. slavery is in history, and yes it's a terrible thing. whichever way the word derived, it's just a word and personally, i think everyone should be able to use it to further encourage the boiling pot theory. if you dont understand what im trying to say, all im saying is everyone should be allowed to use it, or no one. some people will look at it at a different way, such as a racist who actually means it. who knows though, there are no laws that cover this topic.

i even use the word "*****" with my friends, but not with people i know who will take it to heart and seriously, out of respect that is.

If black people call other black people "n i g g a", then why can't we?
                  It's like saying only white people can say "f u c k"

Well how come as soon as a white person calls a black person the n word (don't wanna get owned by Chardish) we are racist? But if a black person calls us a cracker honky etc., hes allowed to do it and not be considered racist? I use the n word freely around any black people I know.

It would get locked for the following reasons:

1/ Your thread says "This is a word that we can use for ourselves, and nobody else can use for us without being offensive" That's just a statement, there's really nothing to discuss there. We're all well aware of the cultural mores surrounding the word.

2/ The presence of "Offensive remarks about race, religion, sex, nationality, sexual orientation, etc." in regards to your claims about "white people" in relation to "black people" That offense is worth a 2 week full forum ban according to the formal forum rules.. It is also a hasty generalization, which in CT is problematic in itself.

                        3/ Quoting Administrator Chardish:

Just to make it clear, THE N-WORD IS RACIST IN ANY CONTEXT

                        The n-word is:
"used when the speaker deliberately wishes to cause great offense" and "probably the most offensive word in English." - American Heritage Dictionary

                        Enough said.

That's well and good for the world, but there's no freedom of speech on this forum.
