    So I've got a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector :(

I cannot get it to work.

These little USB connectors are so troubling. It makes it half way through installation and BAM, an "Internet Connection Sharing Error.(5)" pops up and the installation is canceled. I've been searching for methods to troubleshoot this, but so far I came up with nothing successful. I've seen two prominent methods for troubleshooting this, but they both have failed. Here they are, nevertheless.

    A. Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections > Network Connections > Local Area Connections > Properties > Advanced > Shut off Sharing, etc.

Instead, when I click on Advance, this stupid thing shows:

    Great. Option A=FAILED.

I've read in some forums to exterminate the ICSE.(5) you have to go through a process similar such as this involving to "re-setup" to confirm:

    B. Start > My Computer > My Network Places > Set up a wireless network for a home or small office

Then comes the Network Setup Wizard. From what I've read from past experiences, this also works; however, it will not for me.

O.K., after I go through the wizard it shows this:

    Just perfect. Option B=FAILED

I know many of you talk about Pokémon Diamond/Pearl, so I'd figure that since some of you may have Nintendo brand Wifi Connectors, you may have experienced the same problems that I have -- a very common occurrence.

So you guys . . What do I do NOW?

Please, I ask of another way of solving this problem.

Re: So I've got a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector

I should have got one instead.

I just thought that these USB connectors would be more simplistic since it was intended for WI-FI usage only and they were the same brand.

Instead of wasting even MORE money, why not solve this problem...?

This thing was a good 40$, and that money spent shouldn't be in vain.

A simple solution is all I need. And perhaps, even a solution to why I'm failing the troubleshooters.

"That just will not do." was keywii's response as she lunged for the scissors, pulled the blades apart, and clamped them down on the base of foil's shaft. Blood start gushing out of the wound where his penis used to be.
        "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Yelled Foil in horror.
"Don't worry. I'm a wizard" uttered Keywii. And with that, Foil's penis grew back.

          Whoops indeed.

I really need to find someone with decent computer knowledge.

Or to find someone who solved this problem.

Hm........It showed up on your icons thing in the bottom right, correct? If it does, you right click it, then on Diamond/Pearl, go to WiFi Connection option, then Connect Using Your USB Adaptor, and when it's waiting, right click the WiFi USB Icon, and give yourself access to WiFi.

It can be frustrating at times, just the other day, pokelda and I were trying to go to each other's towns on Animal Crossing: Wild World, but my USB Adaptor was acting up. Whenever I use it for my Diamond or Pearl versions, it works fine though.

*sigh* The damn thing isn't even installed yet.

I'm trying to say that the installation will not complete itself. Thanks for trying to help, however. If it were installed, I'm sure your method would work just fine if I had any further problems. As of right now, I have a huge amount of trouble trying to install the application to my computer.

                      Install the CD.

EDIT: Did you try rebooting your computer?

Yeah. It requires a CD for installation. I use that to install it. (EDIT: Even though the installation process fails)

                        Rebooting almost never works either.

I have tried that in the past when I first got it, nevertheless.

EDIT: All it is, is an "Internet Sharing Connection Error.(5)"
I have to configure the connection systems to disable the "sharing" option. What prevented me from completing the method is located in the first picture I showed you guys. It will not show me advanced information required to disable.

                            I've seen those before.

Response time is really, REALLY slow. A thread like mine was last posted 1+ year(s) ago and the response time was at least three days. That's pretty slow to mean considering you guys answer questions in a flash.

Realistically if I do not get further info, I'll probably make my dad call their instructional service via telephone, however.
