I bought SNES for final fantasy 2. Until I heard that was coming out, I didn't want an SNES.

DS: New Super Mario Brothers (And if that one Puzzle Planet game I played as a demo one play is real, If I didn't have a DS for that, I would get one)
Gamecube: Super Smash Brothers Melee

Nintendo 64: Super Smash Brothers, Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Puzzle League
Wii: Elebits, Metroid Prime 3

Might buy Xbox360 for Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata
Might buy PS3 if FF13 turns out to be ok.

Now this is what I find ironic. Considering those of my age, some of us weren't even old enough to know what the hell the NES and SNES was(I remember SNES in 94 though with Street Fighter 2) so no listing those ok?

Anyways, I'm getting a Wii for Brawl and I'm getting a PS3 for MGS4, GT5, Uncharted, FFXIII, and whatever other games come out for it. Not getting a 360 because 1. I don't like it and 2. Most of the games that I do want for the 360 are either on PC or mulitplatform with the PS3.

Got the Wii for Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Brawl, etc.

It seems to me I have more than one reason to get the console I did.

Buying a console for one game is one of the stupidest things you can do. The cost of the games you buy should always overshadow the cost of the console itself.

Squeek, I own 2 games and those two games cost almost as much as the console. I'm considering 2 additional games, which would bring the total to 4, and with those 4, it would be above the cost of the console itself.

I feel your pain...I bought it for the Zelda series and they both sucked (four swords...twilight princess was good but that's for Wii aswell).


I'm ganna be a PC gamer now...games are free if you learn of your super asian gamer friends. I'm not even bother with counsels because every super awsome game also ussally comes out for PC. PC's are also much better with multiplayer ect.


Also wtf Squeek...change it up a bit and buy and Xbox or somthing? You know your lieing when you said GC had a load of awsome games.

I mean all of these games suck. Every single one of them. Totally unlike all of the Xbox games that haven't shown up on the PC yet. All one of them: Mass Effect.

I have even more games than that for my Gamecube, but they're not as good as these. I enjoyed them, but the general consensus is that they suck.

My "games per year" for Gamecube averaged 7. My Wii games per year is averaging 11 already. I could end up with over 75 Wii games by the time the next console comes out. Heck, if you total it up, I have one Wii game per month the console has been out, and I still have more games on pre-order. I also have games that I'm waiting on price drops before getting (Sonic, Rayman, Excite Truck, Big Brain Academy, Mario Party 8, Cooking Mama, etc).

I will be honest, I did buy a PS2. However, I bought a PS2 seven years after it came out, whereas these Nintendo consoles were within a year of launch, if not on launch day. I only bought a PS2 for Tales of the Abyss, but that one game cost more than the console did. I ended up with twelve PS2 games and I'm not looking to expand on that.

Bought a PS2 for all the CAVE games (found copies of ESPGaluda, Ibara, and Dodonpachi)
Bought Gamecube just because I loved the N64.
Bought a Wii cause I loved the Gamecube.

You were quite advanced for your age when NES came out, even a year after.

The first game I played on NES was Metroid. I sucked at it hardcore. In retrospect it was freaking hard.

I'm thinking of buying a GC now since they're so freaking cheap. That and there are a lot of neat games for it.

The NES was a gift from my cousins. I didn't actually buy it around launch day, but they did.

Let's just say I bought it within a year of when I heard about it. And that "buy" means "my cousins both upgraded to SNES and gave me their NESes and game collections".

I did have an Atari 2600 very shortly after it came out, so it's not unfathomable to believe that I had an NES around the time it came out.

The only console I bought on launch day was a Wii, actually. I foresaw demand on the console and figured the early shipments would be the largest, so that was when I went out and got it.

Also, you could always get a Wii, which will play both Wii games and Gamecube games.
