    Can't keep a combo to save my life...

    I can do a pretty good job on a lot of C/VC levels and yet whenever I go back to try to fc some level that shouldn't be hard I always miss some stupid note every single run though. Its always in a new part of the song and its often in some easy part. Sometimes the level's easy enough that I even get pretty good PA and then BAM! I miss a stupid note and boo a couple times. I just tried ESC a couple times and missed a stupid note each time for no good reason.

    I think my brain is experiencing lag spikes.

      do you find that each time you miss you wind up getting 1 average, 1 miss, and 1 boo? if so, you're hitting "framers"... notes that have overlapping timing windows, which can sometimes cause you to hit the 2nd arrow before the 1st, giving you an average on that note, and a miss on the 1st note, and then a boo for hitting twice.

      songs like ESC don't have framers, per se... we consider framers 4 or less, since that is when they start overlapping the perfect window, making it harder to get perfects. but 5-framers exist too, and you can get them on songs like ESC if you having multiple notes in a row on the same arrow and hit the 1st note very late (into the late good window).

      i'm sorry if some of this is too technical and doesn't make sense... it's a bit tough to explain. but, that is 1 potential reason why. the other is much simpler... you are just sucking and need to practice/focus more.

          Lol at your brain. That's entirely possible.

          Really, if you're that good and you mess up on the easy stuff, then you aren't focusing. Put on some headphones and turn them up a bit higher so all outside noise is cancelled, and just relax.

              Well, compared to you two I'm definitely not very good. But yeah, I amaze myself almost every day at the songs I miss notes on.

                  Well, compared to Tass, I'm abysmal.

                  Outside of comparisons though - sometimes I amaze myself at what I screw up on too. I mean, look at my game count. It's 20,500+. Does that say anything about how much I mess up? It's only recently that I've actually began to develop consistency, but it's only been with a lot of practice, and a lot of focus.

                  When you play an easy song, just pay attention. Don't get distracted because it's only an 'easy' song. Play it like it's VC.

                      Neither can I. I can only keep combos on easy levels, which sucks but I’ve like been on FFR for a few weeks, so it’s cool. I find FFR R2 harder than R1. It’s like you have to press the arrow exactly when it hit’s the arrow you need to hit?, if that makes any sense… lol I know I have terrible grammar and people mentioned “You need good grammar to post”, I was like.. Ok. xD
