I have a Playstation 2 Dance pad, and I'd love to try dancing to some FFR songs with it! (I know that if I could, I would need the PS2 Controller/Computer Connector) Help! Thanks in advance. =)
You could certainly hook up the pad to the computer as an input device, but you'd really only be able to play a small number of songs in the game. Most of the songs here are sufficiently more difficult and complex (being designed for fingers and all) that legs simply couldn't keep up.
Yep, if you can connect your pad to your computer then simple key mapping will enable you to play a pad on FFR. Shoot, last I heard somebody was playing FFR with a controller from Guitar Hero rofl. Anyhow, the main prob of a pad for FFR would be the penalizing of hitting a note that's not there.
Now remember, every time you stand on an arrow on your dance pad it holds it down causing numerous amount of "boo's" thus causing you to fail. A hard but reasonable way to prevent this is pretending that there are mines present where arrows are not, so getting off arrows and back on should be quite tiring.
To simply answer your question, yes it's possible and good luck with those crazy step charts if you do try it
I'd recommend finding SM files for the songs that you want to play once you do get it hooked up. And you probably need computer-specific pads to play on.
If you have the right kind of Windows (XP, though Vista might have it), hit shift five times and see if you get a StickyKeys window. I'm not sure, but FilterKeys under "Options..." might fix the problem of booing out.
