Stupid, stupid, stupid people with their stupid....BLAH!
So I got fired from work.
Reason enough to be pissed.
But it gets better.
I used to work at the Fred Meyer Service Deli, it was a pretty sweet gig, making $12.50 an hour plus union benefits and stock options.
But then this guy comes along.
Well, he came many times, nearly everyday to Fred Meyer.
He was retarded looking and in a wheel chair. So naturally, everyone felt bad for him and was very kind to him, including me, of course.
But unfortunately he didn't want to return any kindness, atleast to me.
He decided that I was a bad person, and must be punished.
He started calling the deli, probably to talk to the two co-workers (Ex- I should say now, eh?) he just absolutely clinged to. Unfortunately they were always very busy, or just didn't want to have to deal with his neediness. Either way, I was answering the phone.
"Fred meyer Service deli, (My name) speaking."
*Click* Dial tone.
This would happen atleast 15 times a day and went on for about a week.
He would just call and as soon as I say my name he would hang up, just like that.
However, he decided to tell the department manager that I was hanging up on him everytime he called.
So the next day the manager (Since he is a straight-up, homophobic, racist son of a bitch I will give his name: Phoenix Shirk.) took me into his office and told me what was going down.
Apparently the retard in the wheelchair had made a series of (bogus) complaints about me.
Some of which were:
*Refusal to give customer service due to disability,
(The ****er claimed I said: "Sorry, I don't serve people in wheel chairs.")
*name calling,
(I only started calling him names after I got fired.)
*and kicking his wheelchair.
(What? How could I have done this? I am behind a ****ing counter for God's sake.)
So of course I denied everything, and also asked if he had evidence to prove any of this, and, since they were bogus complaints, none could be proved.
I even had co-workers (Saying "ex" just kind of feels wierd right now) testify on my behalf.
They were pretty sure nothing would come of this, and told me so. So I had felt safe.
Hahahahahaha, I couldn't have been more wrong.
Next day, (Today) I head into work, notice it's snowing on my way there, punch my time card, and head to my department.
After serving a few customers my manager (Who is, quite surprisingly a really nice guy) tells me the Department manager wants to speak with me, he isn't sure why.
So I head to his office, again.
Thinking, "Damn, what did I not do now."
Right off the bat as soon as I see Phoenix:
"Sorry, I am afraid we have to terminate your employment, please slide your time card through the slot and return it, be sure to empty your locker before you leave, if necessary you will be escorted out by security."
"Son of a bitch."
"Ha ha, yep."
Maybe I'll apply to Safeway, my manager said he would be reference for me.
