    Beowulf

Ok I'm going to give a short review of it.

I loved the graphics, the 3D stuff was pretty cool (I don't know if it's 3D everywhere but it's pretty fun). The sounds of the movie were slightly overwhelming but it helped produced a great effect.

The monster Grendel was very cool and I am now a fan of that creature and it's legend. I thought it had a very human story and it was very entertaining.

The bad parts of the movie would be that it resembled 300 in too many ways, the main character Beowulf was just too damn funny! All I will say is that he is such full of crap it's hilarious.

As far as some characters dialogue goes...it's a bit choppy on one character who speaks as if he was reading a cue card. You'll probably notice this.

If you haven't read the poem i'm sure you would be very confused right at the midpoint of the movie and onward. After the main point of the movie was finished fairly early in the movie, the rest of it just throws you into the middle of something that you probably might not get at all. This will possibly leave you feeling confused, wanting more clarity and overall may disiinterest you. It did to me at least. This is my review and I tried really hard to be spoiler free.

I don't really recommend it too much honestly. I liked it but it's not really somethng you would want to spend money on in the movies for.
The minute you forget to think about tomorrow, you lose everything.

        Re: Beowulf

Action was good. Otherwise, not worthy of its legendary title. And for anyone talking crap about Beowulf, that is really how he is supposed to be. By modern standards, he's a terrible braggart, but by those ancient standards, he was a great hero.

ps now, I didn't actually want to see his genitals, but did anyone else find the "creative" cinematography during the fight with Grendel to be kind of annoying?

Indeed, rofl, my friend was like ewwwww.

I thought the movie was just like too focused on that one little town and that one little thing

If by "creative" cinematography you mean "copying the same way to not show the genitals of a naked man as previously shown in movies like Austin Powers", then yeah. It made the whole giant monster killing people thing into more of a cheap comedic scene.

The 3D was nifty, but it seems to have served as a distraction from the actual quality of the movie.

it was ok, though they could have let the plot build a little slower. it felt like I was being rushed through the whole thing.

Totally was WAY better than I thought it was going to be, but I went in to it thinking it was going to blow. Saw it in 3D and on IMAX, so that helped too. It honestly was pretty good, but I Haven't read the book so I'd proly complain about something being missing if I had.

there were.. a lot of BUTTS.

I enjoyed it but I don't think I would have found it nearly as good if I hadn't seen it in 3D. It made the movie.
