    Silence score -> Uber Rave v2 score

    Hi. Just played silence, but on the score screen it shows that it was mistakenly registered as an Uber Rave v2 score, making me #1 on Uber Rave v2. So that Uber Rave v2 score can be removed.

    Worse thing is that the silence run was my best ever, with only two misses... oh well I'll have to FC it in the near future anyway

      i had the same thing with excite bike / mario, and i got a rediculously high excite bike score...

      Dont worry tass will remove it when he gets a chance.

          You know, the mechanism by which this happens has been described so many times, and so many people state that in years of playing, this has -never- happened to them, that I become less and less convinced that it is accidental when it happens.

              It only started happening after speed mods were introduced, iirc.

                  this is how the bug happens for the nonbelievers like yourself


                  you click on the song you want to play a little too fast and you find yourself not loading, so you click on a different song to play. you think you are loading the second song but then the first one begins to play even though the name of the song and the info shows up as the second one. this is how it becomes possible to get rediculously low scores/high scores.

                      Yes...I said that the mechinism has been described many times. My point is, it seems pretty easy to me to just not fall afoul of it. If you click a song you want to play, and find it not loading, but soon enough that you can click another song, you can just, you know...go "Hmm...this song isn't loading, better reload the game to avoid that score problem that gets reported all the freakin time"

                          no, thats not how it happened for me one time...
                          i clicked on mercury lamp once, and changed my mind so i went to click on pants (which obviously is in a whole different genre) and the in-song tag said mercury lamp, shiki, ect...
                          but the notes playing and song playing were definitely pants. I boo'd out, because my score would have been wrongfully recorded in the 2 millions or higher :/

                              I tried playing ipatches op, and it played a really easy song with 400 notes.

                                  Thanks for the explanation on this, I always wondered how this bug happens. I just tried it on Mercury Lamp / Thinking Different and it worked first try.

                                  The only problem with this is that, when the info pops up, wouldn't you have the sense to realize something is wrong? When I tried it, it gave the info for Thinking Different, yet I was hearing Mercury Lamp. That's an obvious sign that something needs to be refreshed. Heck, boo out if you don't want to reload the page.

                                      Synth and I are trying to work on fixing this... but neither one of us can seem to reproduce it ourselves. tried in IE and FF.

                                      any help? perhaps someone could (privately) send me a vid of them doing this?
