    So, Christmas is coming up in a month and a half

    And my parents want me to make a Christmas list already. I'm a little short on things, so I'm asking for FFR's opinion.

    I'm pretty much a computer nerd/gamer/you get the idea. If there's anything anyone would recommend for someone like me, I'd appreciate it.

    Basically, I'm into MMOs and RPGs, some FPSes. Music taste is J-pop to Euro to Dragonforce-type metal. As for book tastes, things like the Inheritance trilogy.

    When it comes to hardware, I don't really need anything. The only next-gen system I don't own is a PS3, but unless people say otherwise I'm going to hold off on that for a little while, waiting until it gets some good games out.

    My computer doesn't need anything except a new hard drive, which I've already added.

    So, FFR, what do you recommend for someone like me?

      I'm in the same situation. My parents won't get me a 360 even if I pay half because they will feel like it's "destroying my future" because apparently video games are as addicting as heroine.

      I would say get some games and...money?

          a year gift subscription for me....
          i've heard assassin's creed for the 360 is supposed to be good also

              Meh. I'm no good at suggesting stuff, but, I shall suggest something in the Dragonforce-y style metal area.

              Ever heard of the band Rhapsody? May find them being called Rhapsody(of Fire) now? They're pretty awesome. You should check them out. Also, if you want a song reference or something: Dawn of Victory, Knightrider of Doom, or something just a tiny bit softer, Guardiani del Destino.

                              For MMO's, I recommend World of Warcraft. For FPSes, I recommend anything by Valve. Pick up the Orange Box, it's 5 amazing games in one box.

                                                      I've been staying out of the GH craze for a while, but I think I may just get into it now. A friend had me play and it was pretty cool, so I'll probably try something for GH or Rock Band.

                                                      I've tried WoW, didn't really like it. And I'm actually asking for the Orange Box; it really does sound awesome.

                                                      I play GW now actually. Until recently I was in a top 20 guild actually (Error Seven Operators), left because I knew I'd be inactive for a long period of time due to school.
