Newegg's always good for computer things. They may not have the absolute cheapest price anywhere, but prices are always reasonable, shipping is very fast and you can't match their customer service. The only issue I have with them is their warranty now; not too long ago it was mainly 1- or 3-year warranties on their computer parts, but now the majority are 30-day warranties, so you'll have to check the manufacturer warranty if you want lengthy coverage.
You could also try TigerDirect though I've heard people have had problems with their customer service department. -

I got a GeForce 8800 GTS 640 MB (Not Clocked, Refurbished) for about 400 dollars $CDN. Though it is a refurb, I've never had a problem with it and it runs just great!Comment

8600GTS is somewhat weak in anti-aliasing, but is a good value DX10 card.
Definitely go newegg, and definitely get a DX10 card. You'd probably want to get the 8800 GTS 360 MB, 640 isn't entirely necessary. Unless you're wanting to run Crysis or something.

Don't forget to take into account Windows XP only has DX9, vista (though it has many bugs) can run up to DirectX10, and makes much better use of dual screen.Comment
