first off - do NOT get windows vista, because it sucks ballz and is way too slow. and then everything you have is just fine.

second off - thankss for finding me a cool casing for my computer. =)

third off - dont forget you need a sound card buddy.

fourth off - you dont need that good of a graphics card, you just really wont use it for xp.

fifth and final - dont get a laser mouse, make sure is got a ball, i find that its more reliable and accurate for first person shooters.

Ha. Ball mice might seem nice at first, but even with constant cleaning, they go downhill very fast. You need to have a good mousepad for a laser mouse though.

Ever going to use it for anything besides gaming? Careful going 64.

Anyway, with that set up, is there any real bottleneck that you expect to encounter, where going 64 will make a significant difference?

If you want my opinion on a processor, get a really huge motherboard and slap four dualcores in it

I don't take advice from nubs.

                o.o

                I was thinking of getting a G5,
as for the sound card, a default is a fine.

My processor im content with, im thinking of the ATI 2900xt as one i really want, considering it works well with catalyst drivers, and its top of the line.

                im wanting some more advice.

                Thanks guys.

A default is NOT FINE. You wouldn't want to listen to music from a crappy $5 headset. You want the top of the line $100 headset.

This is actually what I'm going to do for video cards/ram. I need more RAM and video RAM so if I can find one for super cheap ($10?), I'm going to buy a semi-old computer and take out the cards 8) Every little bit helps; I have 64 MB of video and 512 MB of RAM. No AGP port.

If your speakers suck, it doesn't matter how good your soundcard is. Default soundcards are capable of packing a decent punch. Really. Better soundcards are for audiophiles who already have awesome equipment.

Really good prices, and they all come with 1 year warranty. Even the cases look cool.
