    the ones i find are 98/ME/XP.........

        I'm sure that's why Microsoft and various computer manufacturers have been copying off Apple for years.

        Anyhoot, any PlayStation pad plugged into a USB adaptor should work with MacOS. Take a look on the StepMania page for a listing of adaptors that work with dance pads:



        I haven't used an adaptor with my Mac (I only have a homebrew parallel port adaptor for my "PC") but from what I understand OS X does a pretty good job at picking them up automatically.
