which is which? i have for my right hand my middle finger on right my pointer? on the up, and for my left hand i have pointer on down and middle on left.

That's spread. Index is when you use your two index fingers on either the arrow keys or Numpad 2 4 6 8 (also arrows without numlock on).

More often spread would refer to when you use an external program to remap your arrow keys to letters on the keyboard (such as left=D, down=F, up=J, right=K), though.

Yeah you are playing spread which overall is good because you can play just about any song with practice although your PA would be higher -usually- if you were to play index. Learning both is always the best option :]

And as far as the improvement, it depends on your PA and ability to FC harder songs on an average basis. Personally, I think it is a BIG step from snowflakes to CIA in a month.

You'll notice that streams and such are a lot easier since you've got one finger for each key.

You're improving well enough.

It took me half a year of spread to get to where I am now.

The bigger question is your boo count. If you get a high boo count, it doesn't matter if you fc it, you'll still have some problem (i.e. mashing).

in comparison to me i cant say you are doing well
but compared to most its a greats improvement.
as i played rings for awhile *middle finger and ring fingers askl*
i switched to spread index and middle fingers
and fced around 100more songs in 3 days o.o
but in general ur doing good

My boo count has decreased tremendously. On songs like Z or robotix I land up with maybe 5 -10 boos max. 10 is a rare occurence unless we are talking like masters only songs.
