    square-enix general discussion

square-enix is one of my favorite videogame companies the only game so far i don't like is dirge of cerberus, and for me 1/12+other spin-off is nothing bad.

ok the point of the thread is to make a general discussion about the company for example:

    favorite game/series
    favorite final fantasy/dragon quest game
    favorite song
what do you think of the future of the company
what games of square-enix you wanna play in the future

    and because it's a discussion....

game/series that you don't like (no bashing)
final fantasy/dragon quest game that you don't like
    most annoying song

also if you wanna add something like "hardest boss" "coolest character" or anything else you can add it to your opinion

to know it was me you just had to read who's the "thread starter" i guess

yeah i know it constitutes it's own thread but i think it is better to summarize everything in one single thread, kind of like the "the ps3 is here" thread and the halo 3 thread (kind of XD)

I am fed up with Square Enix. When Squaresoft was still half of the company, games used to be a hell of a lot more productive and innovative. Enix releases garbage after garbage most of their recent games imo, aren't fun.

FFX - Garbage, I've tried it, couldn't get into it..might give it another try.
FFX-2 Same thing, it merits another go.

FFXI - No chance of playing it because it's online and pay to play crap so dumb.. As if they need MORE money, stick with free or make some paypal upgrade shop like every other game does.

i agree i don't like FFXI either (ok so 2/13+ some spin-off) but if i'm not wrong when FFX was released when the company still was squaresoft, as for FFX-2 i haven't played that game i'm going to buy it once i finish part XII

I have two Final Fantasy games that I really enjoy and quite possibly a third. My friends and I are about to embark on a magical journey through Crystal Chronicles. We'll see how that goes.

The Final Fantasy game that I really enjoy is the first Final Fantasy ever. You make a team of 4 Heros and you go around killing monsters and bosses, progressing you through the story line until you fight the final boss, who was the first boss you defeated. He traveled through time, became stronger, and came back just to fight you. How amazing is that? It may sound like a simple RPG not worth mentioning, in fact, the story line is almost typical and generic, but the replay value is amazing. I've played the game over and over many times and have tried pretty much every party combination, the hardest being 4 black belts. Leveling them was no fun at all, but it gets really easy later on when you have 4x9999 per turn.

The second would be FF Tactics Advance. People say that the original FF Tactics was better, but I've never played the original one because I never owned a Play Station. I would like to play it one day, but for now, I'll settle with FFTA. Just talking about it almost makes me want to play it again. You aren't limited to just the main characters of the game when it comes to making your party for battle. Along with the main characters, there'll be other characters who join the clan and you can level them up and they can be any class they want to be (although their joining class is usually their best class). The quests are always fun and there are 300 of them to finish. Completing them all will take a while.

if you have friends with GB's you're gonna enjoy crystal chronicles (but you're gonna hate the barrier)

yeah man the first one is really good i loved the ending, it was unexpected even in a game from that era.

i liked the FFTA because when i played the first one i didn't get it mostly because my english wasn't good enough to understand the dialoge (still is difficult to me to understand the one in FFXII) but i like the job system and the thing of doing missions.

i started playing X-2 and seriously i don't know why people hate it, sure is a BIG CHANGE from normal final fantasy games, but still is good i mean the job system in here is awesome (not as good as VI and V though)
