    DJ mix for Download/review(my mix)

    hey, recorded a mix for all you guys to listen too if you want:
    Tracklist is short but ill get more vinyl very soon:

      Listening now. Didn't like what happened at ~13:10 (or ~18:30 or near 24:00 it sounds sloppy) or so but other than that I liked the transitions.

      Edit: Finished. Three times longer would be nice.

          I'll give it a listen later tonight... Saw the tracklist and thought 'Oh! He recorded a 10 minute mix!' ... But no... 30 Minutes? It shouldn't take an average of 6 minutes before you mix into the next song... That's crazy person talk! ...I usually have 4 songs in a 10 minute mix... So doing the math... I would have 11-13 songs in the time that you did yours... Maybe that's just me... But then again you've only been goin' at it for 2 months now... So I'll let it slide :P

              lol, well im still pretty new, and i don't have many vinyls, infact only like 6 ATM, but many more coming in soon, i was just trying to pass the time by using the entire songs, don't worry my next one will be much better(hopefully )

                  I don't mean to sound like a pompous ass or anything when i suggest this, I just remember that when I was learning how to DJ the easiest way to see how I could improve was to have my mentors hang with me and play the same songs I was mixing until I just "got it" or just by listening over and over to as many DJ sets as possible.

                  A lot of people don't realize just how many times you cut back and forth or switch up songs unless they know the tunes you're mixing or can sit there and watch you do it, but its the little things you do that really make it flow.

                  If it was me mixing those particular songs, I would probably cut about 5-6 minutes, or maybe more, I am not sure as I don't have the unmixed stuff to play with. It sounds to me you are afraid of tightening the screws on the tracks, from how you let them run down. That's really my only criticism.

                  Which makes me sad. Pick me up is a damn fine song.

                  I don't know how else to explain it. If you want to rip the songs from vinyl I can throw them on my cd spinners and see if i can just show you. >.>

                      i know what you mean, each of these songs have a small spot after the main breaks, which i could put in another song, considering i hadn't had anyone to teach me, hell i havent ever seen ANY dj play in front of me live, so i pretty much watched videos on simple instructions and learning everything on my own... so all this stuff u guys are tellin me helps out

                      next mix ill cut the songs shorter, hopefully it will work out better.

                      Also, spook, ill rip pick me up tomorow and send it to u so u can show me were u would have cut it, im working soon and i won't be off till late so i can't do it today...
