Re: I think I missed something
Thanks for the answer, I don't mean to dis you with my reply, but
1: It's not just subcriber songs, it's all new songs.
2: There are now more songs in Funk than in Purchased, and all the songs in Purchased actually belong there.
3: What's the need for a "temporary storage" space? ....just put the song in its genre from the start. Unless there is some grievously complex taking apart of the game every time that happens.
What really gets me is that they put Rock songs in their correct genre FROM THE BEGINNING, so it can't be that complex of a process. Laziness, perhaps?.....
Sorry, it just doesn't make sense to me. =/Comment

Re: I think I missed something
They're put in Funk so that all of the subscriber songs are together. When they are released to the public, it's easier to take away the subscriber restriction than it is to move songs between genres.Comment

Re: I think I missed something
once they go public, it's just a matter of me being lazy to move them to their correct place....
but dore hit the main reason on the head. we have to put them somewhere... funk has not so many songs... and we want them all in 1 place so subscribers don't have to search for them.RIPComment

Okie dokie, just wondering.
Why does this matter. lol.
Thanks dore and Tass. Cheers to (some) laziness.Comment

Re: I think I missed something
I prefer them in Funk so I know where to go. As stated before.
And when I wasn't a subscriber I liked it there so I could see what was new.
It's pretty annoying when it backs up with songs that came out more than a month ago.

Re: I think I missed something
A) They want subscribers to be able to find the new songs quickly and easilyWhy does this matter. lol.
A2) When they go public, they can change one flag and make the new songs quick and easy for everyone to find.
B) When they do events like the 70 song release, it is far easier to get the songs all into one genre than to put them in correct genres in correct difficulty order. (Tass has said that it takes him 3 hours of work to get each of those 10 song sets into the game, I imagine it would be longer if he had to put them in correct difficulty order in their correct genres)
Stuff eventually gets put into its proper place, sometimes there are just more important priorities and it can take a week or two before they get moved, but they get moved.Comment
