im trying to make a stepfile for a TV theme song, and was wondering, since its from a TV show would i need copyrights to get it on FFR. i know it doesnt particularly matter for my personal use, but its something the FFR people would have to consider if they wanted to put it on the site. anyways, was just wondering.
copyrights and stuff.

You need copyrights for everything.
INCLUDING things that are not even copyrighted. They have a personal copyright according to law.
One way to avoid the copyright law is to use 10 to 15 percent of a song/picture/book. Its 100% legal, I think. I can check on that one.
So, if it is a long song, you can take a minute or 2 of it, and use it. Voila.
I'll check on it though.

Teenage mutant ninja turtles, by chance?
That has to be the BEST intro ever.

ahah, read the FAQ about that SOAD thing. and i think this guy wouldnt give half a poop about FFR playing a song thats 15 years old but i cant find a way of contacting him. i'd probably have to contact the studio that sold TMNT.
anyways, i dont know if its a very good step file, i've been playing FFR since december, but this is my first time making one. i have a 6 year backround in music but i still need to learn the script language properly. im at "leonardo leads, donatello does machines" so only about 25 seconds remain in my step file.Comment

the lyrics to the theme song is my sig. on other boards, but this board has a 255 character limit, so it doesnt fit. and yeah, i started watching the show when i was barely able to comprehend my own existence, (in 1987 i was only 3)so i probably started watching in 89, and didnt stop till 1996. now im 18 (19 in a couple months) and I miss the show like a madman. that show was a part of my life for over a 1/3rd of my life.Comment
