    ...

You could try kingdom of loathing. Other than KoL, not many other mmos come to mind that don't need to be downloaded.
    Indeed...Etc.

I'm going to totally help you out here.

First of all, you need to start your sentences with upper case letters. Second of all, you need to put the proper punctuation at the end of your sentences. Lastly, put commas if you need to. It's a lot easier to read when you type your sentences out a little more proper. The yellow smiley's generally aren't too accepted here, but if you type properly, you may be forgiven a little. This is just the basic FFR forum etiquette.

A lot of the free "no-download" MMOGs that I've played either suck or rock. The ones that suck generally follow the style of Runescape and Adventure Quest where they give you a character and a world map to explore. However, the ones that rock are the text-based ones, but once again, not all of them rock. It's already been mentioned, but KoL is an excellent "no-download" MMOG.

I should really play through KoL again to try out the NS13 content.

Re: i need some free no download mmos to play

I personally enjoyed Adventure Quest. True, it does get repetative, but most MMO's do. I later played Dragon Quest which is really fun. Looking at MMO's where you have to pay, then it gets VERY repetative. I have a 70 on WoW, and I just can't touch it. Grinding just kills me and I have no patience for leveling alts. >.<

Back to the original topic. 8-Bits truly were some of the best. That's why so many people have emulators on their comps. Plus, almost every major console manufacturer is now adding in old games that can be downloaded.

That's why I don't like most MMOGs anymore. I've started playing a few here because regulars would suggest them, but after just a couple hours of playing, I wouldn't find it interesting anymore because I wouldn't have any goals to set and accomplish. One thing that does keep me going is if I have friends playing, at least I can compete with them in grinding races, in that case, I would have a goal to set (which is to beat them).

I've never played Urban Dead before so I will not be able to say anything about it. The reason why I hated Adventure quest was the fact that there was no obvious goal to accomplish either. You defeat monster A, you get new weapons, you defeat monster B, you get new armor, repeat. There is no interesting story line to follow either.
