Recently, I've seen two people fake scores for a tourney submission (damanwithdaskillz and Sweet_Feet). There needs to be a way to report a faked score, so they can't compete in tourneys (can't view the tourney subforum) for x amount of weeks depending on if they do it regularly and such.

Re: Tournament bans
But even so, a last 10 games played does not indicate the date, but just how many minutes before it was played. I can get a score and have my last 10GP printed out from weeks ago and the only thing that will get me caught is if someone realises that this certain score does not gives you the rank he got on that song anymore. (which was the case with Sweet).Comment

Re: Tournament bans
There should be a score-checking function on this site. It'd be relatively easy to implement.
The score screen needs to have the timestamp as well. This would make the "last ten games" thing no longer necessary. Just plug the time/score and username and out pops an entry to verify it.
To further avoid shopping, the score and timestamp can be combined and encrypted with a time-specific key (and even displayed on the scorescreen somewhere with an option to turn it on/off). This way, even if someone claims the song didn't make it into the database/wasn't recorded somehow, the on-screen encryption can be checked and verified to see that it was in fact an unrecorded, actually-acquired score.Last edited by MrRubix; 09-1-2007, 03:12 PM.Comment
