    Music Recommendations

    I think this would be a good thread to have. Just for general music recommendations. I'm not going to do this thread like Squeek since that would take forever, but basically you can just ask for recommendations and other people will give you recommendations. If you find a cool band that not many people have heard of you can post it if you want to. Basically you don't need to follow many guideline in this thread but don't post "lol fall out byo iz relly good" because every has heard of them.

    Anyways, I'm looking for some sick power metal bands. I love Dragonforce and Children of Bodom but I don't know many really good power metal bands. I'm also looking for some good techno artists. Basically any good trance, happy hardcore, hyperbeat, beatcore, etc.

    If you guys have some recommendations for me feel free to tell. Also feel free to ask for recommendations.

    P.S. the first person to say fishin for a sticky is gay.

                      oh and btw, Job for a Cowboy is the narliest metal band you'll ever hear (that sounds good)

                              cradle of filth is a good metal band.

                              i don't know what they are, but crotchduster is the way to go.

                                  I think your main failure was your impatience. No one's going to post in it now. And typically, recommendations mean you're stating some songs you like that you would like other people would want to try and listen. Provide some easy-to-click links to the songs for sampling and you would've done the right thing to kick this thread off.

                                          This is not power metal, but its heavy, very heavy.
                                          Between The Buried And Me.
                                          They did an awesome cover of bicycle race though.

                                              check out Hammerfall, Stratovarius, Blind Guardian, Symphony X, Dream Theater...that should set you straight for awhile for power metal.

                                              btw, Children of Bodom aren't power metal - definitely thrash. genres are blurred, i know, but i love metal enough to know the difference, so don't think i'm patronizing you or anything.

                                                  GOOD Power: Blind Guardian [b]Luca Turilli[/b/] (Especially Prophet of the Last Eclipse), Rhapsody, Stratovarius (although a bit repetitive), Gamma Ray, Helloween (Pre Chameleon + Better Than Raw), Black Majesty, Machinae Supremacy

                                                  GOOD Prog: Symphony X, Dream Theater,

                                                  GOOD Death: Axamenta, Amon Amarth, Opeth, Ensiferum,

                                                  I highlighted the ones I like the most. Blind Guardian is definately a must.

                                                      I Am Ghost isnt really a metal band...I cant really even classify it in a genre but they are ok. All That Remains is pretty good. Bullet For My Valentine is really good, a lot of people haven't heard of them whenever I tell them about them, which surprises me. I have a couple music videos on my profile if you want to check them out.

                                                          Angtoria is more of a Symphonic metal band, but you may like them and you also may liek Haste the Day
