              I think the reason why we don't have enough of those songs is because the permissions are tougher to get, therefore reducing the number of songs that make it in-game by a significant amount.

                  well, there's some people working on that - primarily DrugstoreCowboy.

                  i asked him to get HORSE the band and Darkest Hour permissions - and both were successfully obtained within days of asking.

                  the guy's a miracle, talk to him if you really want to see some metal in this game.

                  the only thing i forewarn anyone looking for metal is that bands on major labels are not so easy to get - indie labels and unsigned bands are gold.

                      and the main reason is because im willing to bet more then half the people on ffr HATE the rock songs, not because they're bad songs, but because they are no fun to play, and generally longer and slower then the rest of the genre's music.

                              Another reason why we don't have many rock songs is because they are hard to step and usually even if one does get stepped it turns out pretty bad. B.B. Evo/Rev are probably the best stepped songs but ANKT they aren't your generic rock band.
