OK I don't usually play FFR much anymore, but today I decided I would play a few games. I'm playing Robotix, and it's pretty fun until gets to those random green arrows around 410. They don't go to anything at all so why are they there? Sure, you could say you needed something to fill the big part of the song where nothing is really going on, but if a song isn't right for a file then a song just isn't right. Also, around 540 combo the jump runs are awful. They don't go to the songs and the jumps seem like they are at all the wrong times. Honestly, how did this file get in the game? No offense meant at all dore, you are really cool but I just hate this file. Anyone agree?

right there, robotix goes up to a lol BPM. I think it was what, 900 something?OK I don't usually play FFR much anymore, but today I decided I would play a few games. We say it's right because ITG does the same thing -
Re: Robotix
Step a V2 then.
Do you have ANY positive comments in you at all? All i've seen is complaining in every one of your posts.
The green arrows are there (i think) as a mimic of the ITG steps, when it speeds up, with the constant steps.
All the 4th jumps are fine. The 16th jumps are a bit iffy, but they still go with the music.
The file got in the game because it passed judgement. There's nothing wrong with it.
P.S. I'm pretty sure its 2k bpm
Edit2: nvm its 1337 bpm. lol...Last edited by Xandertrax; 08-22-2007, 09:51 AM.Comment

Re: Robotix
I would normally say something like, "Who cares?" but that would be mean.
First of all, the jump runs aren't that bad. Not great, but not bad.
Second, the file does not go to a lol BPM in the FFR file, only the ITG one. Yes, I'm talking about the .dwi submitted.
Third, the green notes are probably the best way to step that section other than silence, but come on, no one wants to sit around and do nothing. So what if they don't go with the music? Rules are broken sooner or later.Don't you have something better to do than read my signature?

Re: Robotix
Xander maybe everything I post about files seems negative, but if I made a thread for every file I like there would be a lot of threads. The 4ths jumps actually do seem on beat, but that whole section is awful. Overstepped and not fun. Oh thanks for telling me it passed judgment, I had no idea. Let me rephrase, how did it pass judgment? The reason I don't step a v2 is that there is really nothing more to be done with that song, and I'm terrible at stepping songs.
I understand that he mimicked the ITG file (don't really like it at all either), mimicking the part after the BPM rise would have been great too. I guess they are the best way to step that section, but it's still awful.Comment

Re: Robotix
i like the fact that the entire file gets progressively harder throughout. the green notes mimic the ITG chart.
end of story.RIPComment

Re: Robotix
Who says we have to copy the ITG file? It seems awkward playing the green note imo, I would rather it just be normal 8th or quarter notes. I'm going to have to go with g4z33b0 on that one.Comment

Re: Robotix
Get better at FFR then, because the end of Robotix is the most enjoyable part of the file, and it goes to the song perfectly.Comment
