Newcomer to the boards of FFR

Yet I have discovered forums a while back in 2001 when internet finally reached my domain. As for my "DDR" experience, I have been playing with my feet since 2002, though my skills did not improve quickly as I don't tend to play regularly and often. I usually practice 2-3 games a month due to the lack of machines nearby, not many friends liking the game and time to go about gaming.

As for my fingers taking up the challenge, I have been playing StepMania for a few years now, but haven't been active in it for the past 2 years or so now. I just recently got interested again because of a certain BAKA_RED, a recently aquired friend I met at the arcades, that introduced me to FFR. With this in mind, I shall play now and then to truly see if I can master the songs in this vaste universe of over a million users.

Take Care and Till Next We Meet...

    +Soldat+

P.S.: Here's another skill I aquired not related at all to DDR I randomly offer to all:

    Beyond the bounds

Moving forward in time not back,
Searching the right path that will lead to success.
Reaching out the inner strength to go on no matter what,
Letting go of simple things that offer no comfort.
Taking in the little moments that bring joy,
Profit of these times to find force in desperate situations.

Fearing the darkness that shrouds the mind,
Unknown occasions that show no way out.
Denying help making oneself grow less and less,
Irritated by the world that revolves around you.
Isolation after desolation taking all your time,
Destroying your very being in doing so.

    Hope remains in every crevice,
Justice will be served to those who respect themselves and others.
Believing in yourself without a moment of doubt,
Showing light in every corner that is your soul.
Helping yourself and opening yourself to the world,
Creating a bridge where you may return from...

May our paths remain bridged and well made.
May I make it beyond my limits and grow stronger.
May you find new bridges to hold onto.
May life bring hope to those who try.
May joy reach out in every heart.
May hope always be within all our thoughts forevermore?

Note: Inspired by listening to the song with the same title from the video game called Zone of the Enders:2nd Runner (a very worthy game in my opinion).

        To summarize my post:

        1. I do "Matsuri Japan" at Heavy mode on DDR.

        2. I play 11 steps at Stepmania at times depending on what the author of an 11th difficulty is evaluated. Some are too tough and some are doable.

        3. Poetry is my out of subject interest.

I hope this summarizes up my first post for you

I FKING THANK YOU. That is one of my favorite VG songs of all time. Its the theme for Zone of the Enders: 2.

          THANK YOU.

I literally searched on forums for those lyrics and no one could find the translation.

BTW I play Soldat too. I am a pretty damn good player.

I find that the diffuculties in SM aren't reliable, because nobody has a solid understanding of the diffuculties/there are no guidelines placed for them like there are here in FFR.

                  Welcome.
You managed to summarize yourself in a few paragraphs without getting flamed. Congratulations. You will make a fine addition to this community. Read the stickies and you'll survive without getting your kidneys ripped.

To Sir Thomas: The lyrics of Beyond the Bounds can be found (though fan translated) here: http://www.allthelyrics.com/song/410287/

The text I wrote was a poem I wrote just before starting to work for one month 7 days a week none stop at two different and demanding jobs. I wrote it to encourage myself to make it through whatever I'd be having to face. It was quite an experience and challenging to the limit that my body could take. Thus the reason I was inspired by the song "beyond the bounds".

To Tex : I know that people can be harsh at times, though being able to cope with them, ignore if necessary or even transform them into neutral collegues is best to get the best experience out of any experience lived through.

That and that I have moderating experience on an anime forum community called animeonline.net . You can find me there under the same username.

To Spinal_compression: Thanks for the welcoming, and to tell you the truth, that was one of my shortest intros of late...I though that writing too much didn't really incite people to reply to my posts so I shortened it a bit. Though if you go to an RPG forum, those people post over 1400 words per post just to get their part of the story out in the crowd. I manage that after a few hours of writing, revising and editing...which is time consuming and kills my imagination for the following day.

Thanks again everyone and so far I'm at 250 credit or point thingies...I hope it doesn't demand thousand of pts to unlock stuff or else my hands will be killing me by the time I manage to reach that much.

                    EDIT:

To angelofthedead: I just noticed your post...didn't see it until I pressed the button to post this message. Thanks again and in my case, I'm quite prepare for almost everything as I tend to read a lot before posting. I read a few basic rules here and until I've read all of them, I will probably not challenge someone or do complicated things.

Being flammed? Bah, I have to deal with drama and children creating more comotion than the average 6 year older, so in worse case scenario, I'll simply report it and let it slide

EDIT: Well then, this will be my final touch for the night. Here are my stats after trying out FFR for this late evening:

                        FFR Rank : 127,162
                        Credits : 537
                        Game Plays : 56
                        Grand Total: 28,167,425

                        +Soldat+

To Gamershadow: The difficulties here aren't always exact as well. I seem to manage a few "very challenging" songs and yet fail a few "very difficult" songs. Seriously some are out of balance in my opinion.

As for until someone else has a question, I will probably remain onlne for another 30 minutes and then go rest up. I'll probably edit this post if nobody replies by then to write down my evolution so far and offer a final thankyou for the welcoming and all. I may not be the most active in forums in general, but DDR is something I like so it might tip the balance to make me return...eventually
