    I just got Xbox 360 Elite

    What games should I get?

    other than:
    Forza Motorsport 2 or Project Gotham Racing 3 (which?)
    Crackdown
    Gears of War
    God of War
    Halo 2/3 when it comes out
    Guitar Hero 2/3 when it comes out
    GTA IV
    The Darkness
    Def Jam: Icon
    Oblivion

    And if any of these games suck. Thanks.

      Do not get Oblivion. It has a horrible, everything is the same level as you, system built into it. Also, you can beat the game's story mode in about 1-2 hours, which in my opinion is a joke.

      Other than Oblivion all of the games seem fine, and I don't have any others in mind for you to grab.

          Ehh...Oblivion was fine, in my opinion. If you liked Morrowind, I'm sure you will enjoy Oblivion somewhat. Also, that isn't true about beating the main story mode in 1-2 hours. You couldn't do that, even if you put the difficulty all the way down and fast traveled everywhere.

              Yeah, but if you want to do more, it takes 300 hours to do all the side quests.

                  Eh on your list you nailed pretty much all of the good stuff. Add Condemned to that list. Its a short game, but its really good and the sequel (Bloodshot) Is coming out soon. Also Bioshock is coming out this month. Make sure you absolutely pick that up. Its a must >_>

                      If you have a surround sound system and some good quality speakers, The Darkness presentation value and gameplay is enough to make you **** yourself with glee. Good choice in buying that.

                      If you use the XBox Marketplace, Heavy Weapon HD is one of my personal favorite shooters ever made for any platform (it was originally released on PC). It's cheap, so give it a shot.

                      Bioshock will only be good if, like Half-Life, you want a shooter that is more based on adventure and story, rather then shooting. The Darkness would be your best bet if you want a pure and total action game.

                      Oblivion is really, really good, if you're into good old fashoned RPGs. Impatient people who don't want to wait and explore (Type A personality) wont enough the game at all. However, if you like to explore and simply have fun in the open world, it's a fantastic game.

                          Definetly get Gears Of War and Halo 2/3. If you're a basketball fan, I prefer NBA 2K7.

                              Oblivion was at least worth buying. You get triple-digit-hours out of it before it gets old.

                              However, DO NOT BUY CRACKDOWN. Once you beat it (only about 10 hours), there is nothing to do whatsoever in it. Rent it, don't buy.

                                      Get GH2 and Gears of War first of all. Oblivion, Like Tokzic said, has a good amount of playtime to last you awhile. Get GH3 when it comes out in October of course and you're pretty much set.

                                          Online co-op and "other fun stuff" obviously does not constitute a buy. You won't play it that much longer with that shit.

                                              Save some money to buy Microsoft points. Then go and buy some XBLA games. I recommend UNO, Frogger, etc. They are really fun games.

                                                      I just have one question. My dad is thinking about buying a 360 Elite over a regular 360, but is it really that much more worth it? It would be nice if i could get opinions from people who have the elite.

                                                      In any case, get Gears of War, GTA, and Halo 3 when it comes out.
