    Sandtrap

Well, I figured uploading my songs to Newgrounds is a start, but I don't always get the kind of constructive criticism that I'm looking for. Anyway, this is my new song, Sandtrap: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/91867 . Hoping for some constructive criticism so I can better, thanks!

The bassline was nice and really ominous sounding, but it sort of clashed with the kick.

The piano sounded out of key. And take out the FL Slayer thing.

You use default patches too much. And it was a bit on the repetitive side.

The piano and Slayer were the main problems with the song though. Just keep practicing.

Well, FL does have a lot of different sounds, so I do try to pull from a lot of places at least. I try to change them at least a little though. I don't think sounds are really much of an issue right now since I'm still getting used to the program and such. I guess you're right about the slayer at the beginning...I liked how it sounded when I first started making the sound, but then after I finished it, it had no purpose. The bass is from slayer as well, though I changed it around a little bit. I know the piano sounds a bit out of key, but I really like how it sounds, so I guess that's just a personal choice :P I tried to mix it up a little bit with the second bassline, but overall it just has a slow buildup.

Thanks for the input, I'll keep it in mind for the next song I make =3
