    Profile Vote - Thumb-down thing isn't needed

    About thumb-up and thumb-down things of this profile vote feature.
    I don't care much about the votes but felt thumb-down isn't needed.

    General problem for them, buttons are small and they are too close together, and you can't fix them when you mis-vote.

    And I noticed when looked around the votes, most of thumb-downs are either mis-votes or by random people who have fun to give thumb-down to many people, and sometimes I mis-voted too.
    If you don't like the profile just not voting is quite fine, thumb-down has no merit for existing IMO.

      I think thumbs down isn't needed, but what you're saying is kind of like closing off constructive criticism. I think if somebody has a good reason for voting thumbs down on your profile - for instance if they didn't like your profile color - then it is ok to. I vote 99% thumbs up usually, but every once in a while I accidently do press down and it's really annoying. I do wish you could change your vote though.

          It's because it's my opinion, not closing off or something.
          Any criticisms for it are welcome.

          Just fixing some issues like placement of button and enabling us to fix the vote are also fine.
          For another idea, showing vote count/average profile rating system (1-10) would be better.

              I think if they displayed how many "thumbs down" your profile got, it would give more of a reason for the jerks out there to vote people down.

              But the profile thing IS cool, and it's a nice way to start out some friendly conversation.

              For instance, "Ah. Thx for the thumbs up. How's it going?" sorta thing.

              and yeah, I agree. The mis-vote thing is annoying.

                                  Thumbs downs are worthless right now anyways though, they don't have an impact of -1 like they should.

                                      If you like a profile, thumb it up.
                                      If you dont like it. Dont thumb it up.
                                      Its easy as that.

                                          Also if you thumb down someone for a justified reason, they can just thumbs down your profile which is kinda not even worth doing it in the first place.

                                                  Actually, we have been discussing a more comprehensive rating system. Something along the lines of the videos with the star rankings.

                                                  Would this be preferred as you guys are right, the thumbs up and down does cause a bit of drama, and a 0 has a lot of weight vs a 1

                                                          Such a petty issue, the "Profile Vote" system doesn't really serve any purpose. In my opinion it should be taken out all together.
