    Sony ACID

Hey. Since I don't do enough, I decided to try working on some music too. So I *cough* obtained a copy of Sony ACID PRO 5.0. Anyway. I've made one song (http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/view.php?id=8934580) so far. You don't need to listen to it, because it was more getting to know the program, but you can if you want =P (Volume is way screwed up). I was just wondering if anybody else was familiar with this program in case I had to ask some questions. Of course I will try to figure out what I can on my own, but sometimes I just can't.

EDIT: Not sure why I bothered to post this, but maybe somebody uses ACID =P

That's really odd. I have no idea how a 0 made it in there. My real like is http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/view.php?id=893458, but it's probably all for the better because the song sucks anyway =P I don't really like the sounds that Sony ACID has so I might try to *find* a copy of FL. I haven't quite decided yet.

        Re: Sony ACID

I've never used solely ACID for a song. The only thing I've done is made my loops in FL, exported them to WAVs then arranged them in ACID.

I imagine that ACID's default sounds are a lot better than FL's. Pretty much crapping is a better sound than FL's default sounds.

You should download trials for Reason and FL along with ACID, then see which is most comfortable for you to use. (FL will probably be the one <.<)

Whichever you like, experiment with the synths. A lot.

Yeah, that's probably a good idea. I had FL a while back, but then it kind of died. It just seemed more user-friendly ;X

Lol, come on. There are more serious attempts at music than this (no offence).

Edit: I only used acid once and it didn't go to well, so I quit trying to make music with a computer.

Dan, if you seriously want to step it, I don't care =P I'm going to give FFR blanket for everything I make, but it's pretty pointless when I only have one "song" right now.

And, no offence taken. It's just practice with the program, so only a semi-serious attempt. I know how the general program works now, but if I try another thing with this program I'm going to look more into the kinds of effects it can do.

Wow Dan, I could of told you that >_>

Yeah, Acid isn't what I'm looking for I think. It just happened to be what I found first =P

Found FL5. It's sooo much nicer than ACID, at least to me. However, it's still hard to compose things =P

ehh all complex and high power programs are complex at first. But just toying around with ti and exploring it makes you pick it up. just play with it a bit and you'll get the hang of it.xD

Well, it's not that I dislike ACID...It's just that I like the setup of FL better, not to mention it has a better selection of sounds already built in. Plus, I had some experience working with FL a long time ago, so it has made it easier to pick up. Overall, I just think FL fits my needs better.
