With a new world record of 66 hot dogs, Joey Chestnut ends Takeru Kobayashi's 6 year reign (who posted an impressive 63 'dogs with an injured jaw). Chestnut ate almost 5 hot dogs a minute on average.

I was trying to get this buddy of mine at work to eat a whole 10 piece chicken family meal. He ate the gravy, 8 pieces of chicken and half of the fries... guess we will have to get him to do it again next week.

DAMNIT! I really like to watch these things, too bad I missed it. Anyways, pretty crazy achievement. I'd like to see where we are in a few years.
Side note, one of my really good friends (my roommate) is seriously thinking about becoming a competition eater or whatever they're called. Last fall, he ate a whole Qdoba burrito in 37 seconds to win an eating competition. pretty impressive in my opinion.

A few weeks ago I read that he got jaw arthritis. I thought it was the saddest thing in the world.
