    I just got Starcraft

                  Um ... I think you mean who plays Melee/TvB/etc. etc.

                  A lot of people do.

                  UMS maps are pretty fun, but so are regular (trigger-less) maps. It just depends on what you're into.

                  Diplomacy is ... lame. =P

                          I have this game... I was pretty good, I could beat Clan members in 1 vs 2 matches (me being the 1), but I never joined one.

                          I preferred just to do bounds and fun maps right before I quit playing it a long time ago...

                          Though, when Starcraft 2 comes out, I might buy that (depends on computer requirements).

                                      I've never played a Craft game (or RTS game for that matter) my entire life. However, seeing Starcraft 2 made me want to plat Starcraft now. Is it for free now or what?

                                              I haven't really played another person except twice at a LAN...And those were the first time I played. First time, I got raped horribly. Second time, I raped the **** out of everyone. Now it's just my friend and I against computers without rushing.

                                              I play Fastest maps. Never played/heard of a BGH-type map.

                                              Yesterday I just got Starcraft and Brood Wars for $10. No monthly subscription fee .

                                                  What do you mean by "fastest" map? Please tell me this isn't some new term for mega-money maps or anything.

                                                  Also, BGH-type references 'Big Game Hunters' one of the more common map choices for online play along with 'Lost Temple' it's like the Dust2 of the starcraft world.

                                                          Fastest as in 50 mineral fields stacked on top of each other to look like only 1 mineral field and using an advanced Starcraft editor to make the Command Center/Nexus/Hatchery RIGHT next to the mineral stack. Therefore, Up to 50 drones/SCVs/probes can mine at what LOOKS like 1 stack at once and the mineral gain is increased significantly since the miners don't have to move a certain distance.

                                                          Pretty much same with gas, except only anywhere from 6-12 geysers (depends on the version of the map).

                                                          It's fully named "Fastest Map Possible" for up to 8 players.
