A light flash version of DDR to put in our new DDR web site

    Hi Guys,

My name is Tamar and I am from Israel.
I first met DDR in my last visit to the US and fell in love with it.

Unfortunately, DDR is not popular in Israel.
Actually we have arcade DDR in 3 malls all over the country, and except those who saw those arcade games or met it while visiting around the world, no one heard of it

So... we created a new web site for the DDR community (www.iddr.co.il), but as you know, you can't get into the game from just reading about it.

    - I thought of putting AVI files, but it is too heavy fro the main page.
    - I thought of asking the visitors to download StepMania, but I am sure they won't cooperate...
    - I thought of referring them to FFR web site to try the flash version of DDR, but I found it too complicated for visitors who don't even understand what is this game....

So, finally I came with an interesting solution, create a light flash version of the game, with trimmed song and put it on the main page.
Then I will ask the visitors to stand up, and start following the arrows...

    What do you think?
Or maybe better, do you know an existing flash version for DDR that I can put in my web site?

Thanks for your help and cooperation,

    Tamar from Israel

Hey man, I know what it's like in Israel. What you are trying to do is a great thing, and I'd support you if I knew a way to without money. So instead I'm gonna try to keep this topic alive and hope someone who can help you notice it.

There IS Dance With Intensity(http://dwi.claws-and-paws.com/), but like you said, the vistors probably wouldnt cooperate.

      Hey, thanks for your reply

Well, the first beta is on the air, It was lot of work , since I
      wasn't very familiar with flash.

I hope it will show our visitors what we are talking about
      when we say DDR.....

I want to add some "voice instructions" such as
      "Press Right....... NOW !!!!"
when the arrows are getting together.

as I said it's a lot of work, the guys from FFR made such amazing work !!!

So, I am ready for your feedbacks, you can access the beta version at:

Thanks and I am looking forward to hearing from you,

      Tamar.
