ive been playing for a while and was wondering at what point do you consider a person really good at playing? wats too hard or too easy for you?

You compare your scores with others in the FFR and SM Scores thread and see how people are doing. Then compare yourself to them.
Once you start getting involved in everything and playing for a long time you'll see how good you are in comparison. -

Yeah I kind of wonder myself.
First thing to do is set up all your overall ranks on every aspect of FFR and get the average #
The only problem is......exactly how many different users are on FFR? There are 1.2 million members, but I'm sure there are no more than 100,000 actual players, if even that many.

I think that once you get to completing Tricky-Challenging songs, you enter the "good" range.

Level rank stats
Doesn't mean that all those names have NEVER played on here.
That doesn't determine skill level.
Average rank is the only real determinate of skill on a non-tier level. Anywhere in the 250 and below for average level rank I would say makes at least a decent player.Originally posted by SynthlightComment

Nothing I said determines actual or overall skill. It's just a placesetter, really.

Overall rank determines how much you play the game.
Average rank would give you an idea of how good you are considering that most people don't play half the songs or don't want to spend time to get good ranks on them.
If you want to be considered,"good," then i'd assume all you have to do is be better than the skill level those people who come here and play for a week then give up.
Stay a while. Play a lot. Stick to the fourms as a lot of score discussion happens here. Once you get better and more involved you can then reasonably judge your skill level.

1:Rank depends on how many there are on top of where you stand. Being 3 out of 4 isn't too good. But being 3rd on this site out of 1.2 million is absolute skill. See what I mean? We need to get an idea how many actual people there are here. Hence the whole thing I mentioned earlier about knowing how many people play over 500 games.
2:Staying here more than a week and playing more than 10 games makes you good? Jeez, I got it made then.
3:Anyone can get a 3 digit rank if they simply play loads of FFR. But is that skill? Not really. It also doesn't help that only people can can FC those Challenging+ songs are the only ones who really post there. i only possess 4 AAA's but i have completed every song except the skill and token songs i don't have... and i average my rank at aout 3-3.5k My overall rank is 502 but there are alot more then 502 better then me. think of the last turnement where would you be in the levels.Comment
