    Hostel: Part II

    I have some mixed feelings about this movie. The actual toturing in the movie is standard Eli Roth fair and it throws in some unexpected twists, especially at the end. However, I felt kind of cheated at how short it felt. When we were walking out of the theater a guy said, "Wow that movie was like 30 minutes long." To be honest, I agree with him. They spent too much time getting the girls to the Hostel and less time with the actual toturing.

    6/10 for me.

      darn. I saw the first one and i thought it was pretty good. I do remember though about half the movie was just introducing the characters and feeding the storyline. Is the second movie worth going to the theaters to see or is it a rental type of movie?

      Oh, one quick question. Was there more, less, or about the same amount of torture in Hostel II then in Hostel?

          There was less toture, but it was more graphic than the first Hostel. I will be honest though, there is a part near the end that made every guy in the theater last night moan in pain. And it was shown on-screen. I think you can figure out the rest.

                  it seemed totally different from the first. since it wasn't so much about the place and escaping...
                  i thought it had more interesting twists. and i thought the character of beth totally rocked. and axelle was just hott...
                  and for me it was just weird seeing Heather Matarazzo naked and tortured...and seeing Stanislav Ianevski as a bad guy

                          Welcome to the FBI watch list.

                          I have no desire to watch either of the hostels, but I must ask: is there a scene where one of the girls gets her head cut off with a cutting wire while she is still alive while blood flies everywhere and her body squirms?

                          I saw a .gif of this on 4chan and it looked like a extremely well put together Hollywood movie. Hostel was the first movie that came to mind, but it seemed way to graphic to be a mainstream release.

                          I only ask because the .gif was extremely disturbing, and I am not one who is disturbed easily. If this is Hostel, or Part II, I might consider watching it, just to see how far they pushed the envelope.

                              I think it was Jewp, but I can't be sure. However, this is a part in Hostel II where a girl is being cut open alive and upside-down with a giant scythe.
