One More Time and One More Time fast

so hey i made a simfile for one more time and made one that sped it up without the pitch getting higher...kinda surprised there isnt a simfile for this song on the site...though i think one used to exist but it was deleted. hopefully that doesnt mean that enough people on the site dont like it somehow or any simfile people have attempted has been poor...hopefully mine isnt. so yea check it out

They were bad. You made the same mistakes you made on the last files you posted up here.

        - There are lots of 16ths that don't go to anything. Stop doing that, it's annoying.

        - Poor song choice. I'm not dissing your musical taste, but it's not a good song to make into a keyboard file. It's boring and repetitive.

        - Stop speeding up songs and stepping them. There's no point to it.

        - Somewhat improper use of jumps and hands

        Advice

        - Step what's in the music, not what you hear in your head. Seriously, 16ths that "kinda" go with the vocals are dumb.

        - Pick more interesting songs to step. Generic dance music usually makes for terrible keyboard files. Try stepping something that is more dynamic and varied.

        - Learn to layer and use freezes. Use jumps only on emphasized sounds and when two notes are being played simultaneously in the music, not just when you feel like putting in jumps. Freezes should only be used on obviously extended or held notes in the music.

        - When you're making keyboard files, you shouldn't structure it as though it were a file for pad.

        - Pure difficulty is not what you should be shooting for. Step the song as well as possible and the song should determine whether or not the file comes out hard or not.

        - Take constructive criticism and use it to help you make better files. Don't take offense and don't go off on a rant like you did in the last thread you made. Take my advice and try again.

i know i have chosen difficult songs to make stepfiles that would be hard enough and make sense. i just like the songs. in order maintain the difficulty i tried to put in jumps and 16ths that went to the songs the best i could. maybe it hasnt been effective enough on the sense side. for any song that has multiple difficulties, would you say that a certain difficulty is perfect for the song even if it is an easier difficulty...or would you favor the more difficult one? also ive made faster versions because the pitch changes when you change the rate in stepmania as well which i feel for those songs makes them less interesting to listen to

If a song doesn't warrant a difficult stepchart, then don't make a difficult stepchart for it. Easy charts can still be fun, though. Pick a song where you can make a fun chart without forcing a bunch of nonsense arrows to keep it interesting.

This is a sim I made that many people consider fun. It makes sense with the music and is difficult enough for most high-level players, yet not impossible for most anyone else. Try it out.
