You'll be able to ask for help, and hopefully find out if anyone is interested in immediately stepping your tunes.
Started a side project for house stuff. I don't really have any experience with house, so I'd appreciate someone who is familiar with the genre to give me some tips or comments.
Ok, first and formost, you're still composing with your trance style outlook. Trance is very homogeneous in it's sound, it's sometimes hard to find which instruments are playing each part.
EQing-
House, however, is quite the opposite. Each instrument can normally be clearly recognized from the other. You get the idea near the middle of the song with the primary chorus. Buildups need to be homogeneous, but not so homogeneous that it sounds like the same pad. Try making the drums stand out more, using higher frequencies.
Composing-
Absolutely fantastic job on that bassline. It was easy to follow and helped carry the song along. I'd like to see it cranked up a bit more, (NOTE: THIS MAY BE DUE TO SOUNDCLICK'S ****TY ENCODING). The drum breakdowns were a nice touch. The main line seems a bit light in it's composing style, but that may be me. The transition pads into the chorus are quite nice.
For not knowing anything about house, that wasn't bad at all, Pyro. Just, remember this:
House will NEVER be as smooth as Trance. It's called Trance for a reason, you know.
PS- This may be me, but, that buildup seemed way too long.
