For school tomorrow, me and my friend are doing a play on the book, "The Giver" by Lois Lowry.I had to write the script.Tell me what you think of it, and if you think it needs revising.
The Giver: Pages 146-151

Jonas: I’m sorry I am asking so many questions. My father is releasing a twin baby today, depending on which one is the smallest.
Giver: Yes, I know about it.
Jonas: Actually, I think my father is done now, because it took place earlier this morning.
Giver: Jonas….do you want to see this morning’s release?
Jonas: I’m not sure….
Giver: I think you should.
Jonas: How do I do that?
*Giver flips switch*
Speaker: Yes, Receiver of Memory. How may I help you?
Jonas: I want to see this morning’s release of the twin.
Speaker: Yes Receiver, thank you for your instructions.
*Jonas turns to screen*
*Screen: shows room Release Room*
Jonas: That’s my father! That other person is his assistant.
Nurturer: Whew, I thought for a second they weighed the same. Then we would have a problem!
Nurturer: But you! *points at baby*, you are a shrimp!
Jonas: That is his special voice for babies.
Giver: Watch!!
Jonas: Now he cleans him up and makes him comfortable.
Giver: Be quiet and watch!
*Nurturer fills syringe with liquid, puts in baby’s head.*
Jonas: What’s he-
Giver: Shh!
Nurturer: I know it hurts, but the veins’ in your arm are too teeny-weeny.
*Baby cries*
*Baby goes limp*
Jonas: My father killed the baby!!!
*Nurturer picks up baby, puts into cardboard box, and throws away.*
Nurturer: Bye little guy.
*Screen goes blank.*
Giver: You thought I wasn’t brave, when I was informed that Rosemary had applied for release, I watched it. I also listened as she said she wanted to inject herself. You wanted to know about release, now you know.
