Why are faster paced songs so much easier to AAA?

Even if they're so much harder.

As an example: I can AAA Victims and Martyrs, yet I cannot AAA Boss Machine. Victims has way more steps, but everything is so nice and brisk that I can keep a steady rhythm. Boss Machine has long consistent streams, but they're what, at least 30 BPMs slower then Victims. I just can't stay consistent throughout the whole song, I want to move FASTER! Same thing goes for pretty much any other song.

    What about you? Discuss.

That's more of a personal thing. I tend to AAA slower songs a little easier.

Because faster songs keep you on your toes while slower songs tend to make me fidget and get bored rather quickly.

Harder songs for me are ones that just seem to drag on, such as CIA Rave. It's an easy FC, but I get so bored that I stop paying attention and miss a note.

I've been learning this in music class...Everyone has a personal rythem almost which runs eternaly inside them. The norm is your internal beat is around 120BPM or 200ish. Your mental alertness also determines this.

Also if your talking about the speed of the arrows the juging in these games are based of beat count not visuals. Your mind takes it as visual not beat so people have a tendancy to get better scores because when you increase the speed the judge seems weaker.

Pretty much what Smartdude said. Easy songs are just a snore while harder ones are hot, spicy action.

And basically what smartdude said. I am able to get a decent PA on faster songs while I can't AAA the slower ones.

Everyone has strong and weak points.

In general, Victims and Martyrs is a lot harder to AAA than Boss Machine.

I think it's an attention span thing. I can Blackflag Destiny and Brightone, but can't even get under 10 on like Halogen.

Re: Why are faster paced songs so much easier to AAA?

When it comes to jumps I can PA the ones in songs like Victims and Martyrs or TGWP4 WAY better than the ones in World of Dreams, because in V&M and TGWP4 the BPM is higher than WoD, so I can just go at a continuous rate. World of Dreams, however, is much slower, so the jumps are farther apart and it gets harder (for me) to establish a sort of rhythm.
It's the same reason why I can PA fast chains (Rose) versus slow chains (some files by Jimerax, including January's Song).

Also with faster songs there are higher possibilities of avmisses, so it seems to pressure you to go faster and be extra careful at certain points, and that helps the PA too.

Oh, another slow jump song is Straight to Video. Harder for me to PA than V&M as well.

And basically with higher BPMs there's a continuous rhythm that you can go at and stuff, while slower BPMs makes you go slower than you're used to (since way more songs are of higher BPM) and requires some adjustment.
