96.07%, 49/51 perfect, 2 miles average error.
I got Nebraska early in the game, so I missed that by 3 miles, and I placed D.C. right in the middle of the state that it is in (don't want to give it away for anyone) to miss that by 3 miles too....Comment

Having hawaii and alaska there is pointless, since they're not in their actual positions. How about "48 contiguous states"?.

94.11, average error was 5 miles.
I missed Arkansas because I didn't have any of the bordering states there yet, so I was too far west.
I missed Kentucky because I wasn't thinking. Was WAY off with that one.
Everything else was perfect, even DC.
