    where to go and ask for someone to look at a song?

      The appropriate place in the forum would be the Audio and Music Submissions section. Once you post a link to your song there, members will most likely listen to it and give their opinion. If a filestepper comes across it, and they like it, they may likely step it assuming the author's permission has been obtained.
