That's just crazy, exspecially the part about the 13 year old kid. I mean, I play a lot of games, but never to that extent, OR even thought about doing anything harsh to myself over a video game.
Well, I spent way too much time on this thread. I watched your video and although the points the narrator was valid for the child, it is not valid for every single child. He doesn't realize half the things he's saying and the trap society itself has placed on everyone. The message this video is trying to tell everyone is World of Warcraft is bad and anyone who plays it is automatically considered addicted and also, bad.
A prime example was when the narrator said, "Are they your friends? It is clear that neither he, nor his mother understand internet relationships. Although they are not as strong as real-life relationships, they are still relationships and hold the same power as real-life ones. The child may just be too scared to discuss his issues with his friends and most definitely, his parents, however, online, he has that freedom to discuss things openly because an invisible barrier is set up, giving him a sense of privacy.
One scene states that a help forum for addictions can be found. I found the website and if you want to visit it, it can be found here:
WordPress.com is the best place for your personal blog or business site.
I read pretty much the entire thing of the article and you'll find that Dave, the author of the blog, has quite a different view. The video portrays Blizzard as a bad enemy while Dave, clearly thinks that the parents are at fault (which I think too). His only answer to the addiction is to take action and just cancel the subscription.
EDIT: The argument made is do we blame the maker of the gun? Or the man who used it?

Yeah, that is pretty much sad. There are those few people out there who spend literally every minute of every hour they are awake on the internet. But that is so far the minority it's rediculous. I hate these new broadcasts. Every time something like this comes on the air it means the internet/video games are bad. I remember watching a news report on the recent shooting that happened where the reporter blamed Counter-Strike for what happened... What the hell? Does that mean, since I play CS I'm going to go shoot up my campus? It's so stupid.
