If you're a newbie reading this post, I would like to welcome you to the FFR Community if anyone else hasn't already besides Synth. You're about to embark on the experience of a lifetimein this site. I commend you. Let me begin by explaining who synth is, for those who don't already know. Synth is short for Synthlight, one of the founders of this wonderful community. He makes everything work, along with the other admins (administrators) of FFR. You should be proud to belong to an amazing group of obssesive gamers (XD).
Now, about the game itself. Well... Not much to explain here... Although... If you're really brand-new to the FFR system, you must be confused about what exactly are Tokens and Skill Tokens. Tokens are, in a nutshell, prizes. It's like finding the treasure in a hunt. When a token is released to the public, Synth makes an announcement in the homepage giving clues, and sometimes a link, on how to find it. Some are hard, some aren't. Sometimes you just have to think outside the box. WARNING: YOU WILL BE BANNED FOR GIVING CLUES OR LOCATIONS TO OTHER USERS INSIDE FFR. There is a complete list of the tokens (released and unreleased) on the left hand panel in the homepage (http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...oken_info.php). When you do retrieve a token, it redirects you to your profile page, showing you that you've found the token
. Now, you are able to claim your rightfully earned prize and play the token song, which you can find in the "Token" genre of the game.
Skill Tokens are similar to regular tokens, except you're allowed to talk about them without getting banned. Synth has given us a list of all the Skill Tokens available and the instructions to follow to acquire them (http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...oken_info.php). These tokens reward your skill and control to do certain things or get certain results when you play a certain song. For example, the first Skill token to be released can be unlocked by AAAing (getting only perfects) the song "Spontaneous Hydroxide." Once the task is done, the results screen will have an "OK" next to your score. You can find the Skill Token songs on the "Skill" genre of the game. These tokens are mostly pursued by the more experienced players, for the obvious reason that they have more control of their skills. But don't worry, you'll get there!
The FFR admins work hard to bring us the Song of the Week feature. Every week, a new song is released for the public to play. Awesome, eh?
New features are added to FFR regularly. The newest is rating user profiles, wich you can read about on Synthlight's almost-daily posts.
In addition, you can get some pretty cool FFR merchandise, such as shirts (which kick ass) and subscriptions to be an exclusive member of the community. With buying a subscription (which aren't expensive at all), you get many benefits that non-subscribers don't. You get discounts on merchandise, you get to play the Songs of the Week before they're released to the public, and you get to be part of Beta Testing, which has its own benefits. Please do what you can to support FFR. To most of us, it's our virtual home, and someday you'll feel the same.
Well, I've typed long enough. It's time for you to go and enjoy what this wonderful community (and the admins, we love you!) has given you. If you ever need any help with anything, don't hesitate to post on my wall. We're not newbie-eating-mosters, at least I'm not. I'm excited to share what this community has taught me with others who are just beginning. Trust me when I say this, one day you'll feel the same.
Au revoir et bonne chance, (Goodbye and good luck)
