I downloaded and played this yesterday. This game is pretty awesome.

It kind of sucks because you're very limited to what you can acquire at the moment.

Bumping because I've been playing this quite a bit lately.

They're adding more stuff now. 7 tracks now, from 5 when I got it a week ago, and some new karts and mods and stuff. It's a pretty damn fun game...can't wait until the full version ;o

Item is the most fun right now, as there arn't many good tracks yet for speed. There is also more skill and strategy to item than I had initially thought ;o

The only luck item , IMO, is the water balloon. I dislike it because you can't predict it at all + there's a lot of luck involved in whether it hits them or not.

Drifting will be more fun once there are more good drift tracks.

Well, the trick is that you have to be a pretty good distance away from your target. Also, the water balloon has a pretty good size blast radius, along with being able to last for a good 3 seconds or so. This means that you can throw it, and possibly get some hits in. Basically, a good range would may be if you are far away from him, basically where you can lose sight of your target.

Finally got around to getting this game, mostly because I didn't feel like opening ie since that would take a whole 30 seconds that I didn't have... Anyways, pretty fun. I'd like to play with some of you guys and see how good you guys are and such. I'll try and get online tomorrow to play.

This game is wicked fun. I started a week ago, and got the upgraded kart. It's like Mario Kart online, but with overpowered weapons.

I love this game but I find that a game that drifting is pretty useless if. It just slows you down to much and it is way better to make a wide turn. I may be a noob then but what's your opinions.

Drifting is extremely necessary when it comes to the speed races. As long as you time your drift right, and hit accelerate as you end your drift (to get that free small boost) it shouldn't slow you down.

I call the water balloon the first place stealer since most of the time when I lose an item match it's because someone balloons me right before the finish line and everyone proceeds to pass me. >__>

The thing is though, is they hit in the center of the track always. If you're ahead your best bet is to drive a long the sides of the track as far away from the center as you can get. On most tracks this will avoid all random balloon bs >__>


Item strategy that has worked for me: Don't get into first early on. It's useless. You'll only lose that position and you get ****ty items. Remember, the quality of your items depends on your position, so the farther back the better. Pull back and collect some good items, then make your move forward. You should always have a magnet kept in one of your boxes at all times, and don't waste rockets/homing water balloons on people in the back of the pack. Save them for the higher ups. Finally, assuming you don't have the oppertunity to pull far ahead of the pack, instead of going for first on the last lap, stay in 2nd/3rd w/e right behind the other people. Even if they have shields, if you kept your magnet you can use it to pass them right at the finish line without worrying about getting hit by stuff. Pulling into first without the oppertunity to make tons of ground on the other people is only asking to lose the race, as everyones going to be firing at you >__>


Drifting does slow you down, but only on tracks without a lot of turns. It's faster to drift on sharp turns than turning regularly. Right now there are only two tracks you should be drifting on (pyramid one with shortcut and city one with turns). All of the others render drifting useless and will only slow you down >_>

Started today and played a little. I got to the next level, but this game is really boring because I already own everything I want to own in the game, and that's never fun at low levels. Also, you run out of quests really quickly, and the quests are pretty easy. The players aren't terribly good either.

Yeah, I don't play Kart Rider as much as I do Audition. Regardless, it's still in closed beta at the moment, so it could get a boost in popularity once open beta becomes apparrent.
