I was driving to my little brother's school to pick him up when I saw four or five helicopters flying th NASA Johnson Space Center. I called up my dad because he's a contractor for NASA and he said that there were shots fired and the entire center is shutdown. Luckily, my dad works at the SAIC building on the other side of NASA Road1/NASA Parkway.

James Hartfield with NASA says their security got a report of a man with a handgun on the Johnson Space Center grounds at building 44, which is a communication/engineering building. Houston police and officers with a number of agencies have been called to the scene.
