have any of you ever woken up paralyzed and have seen creatures such as ghosts, or other paranormal creatures when you were sleeping. You might have experienced sleep paralysis: this occurs when you are just about to fall asleep or are just waking up from sleeping. your muscles cant move and sometimes you hallucinate and see things, sometimes hear things, because you are still partially dreaming. I have had several experiences with this: once it happened right before i fell asleep and i saw a "demon" i was paralyzed i couldnt move, i heard really wierd voices in my head then i woke up. Another i was falling asleep and i heard this ringing in my ear i saw a wierd image of my brother standing right next to my bed and then i woke up, i tried going back to sleep but it relapsed, so i just woke up. Re: any of you ever experience this:sleep paralysis
Occasionally, I get this "sleep parlysis", the only difference is I don't see any ghosts or anything. In fact, most of the time, I get scared because whenever I try to move, nothing will move or it'll hurt to move and all I do is try to breathe calmly.

Re: any of you ever experience this:sleep paralysis
Sleep paralysis is pretty much when REM sleep intrudes on a period that you're awake, hence you see images like devils seemingly right in front of you. Usually occurs immediately before or after sleep, as you said already.
I haven't had this, but I bet it could be kinda scary.Comment

Re: any of you ever experience this:sleep paralysis
Yes. It occurs when you get caught in the hypnopompic state of sleep (coming out of sleep). You are awake and aware, but can't move any muscles for 10-15 seconds. It happens to me when I sleep in cars, I HATE it. Scary as hell. I don't hallucinate though that's just weird.

Re: any of you ever experience this:sleep paralysis
I have had the paralysis part happen to me quite a few times. Just recently, I woke up immediately from a nightmare and saw a figure standing over my bed in the reflection of my t.v screen. Scary stuff >.<Comment

At least sleep paralysis isn't as harmful as stuff like sleep apnea, where you basically choke and gasp for air, pretty much disrupting your sleep.Comment

Dudes like all the time at school in fact today during my 3rd hour (english class) i was sleeping and when i woke up i was there but not able to move and then i twitched like none other. This only tends to happen when Im sleeping on desks at school. Maybe some type of bend in the spinal column activates it in some people or Im just crazy

Re: any of you ever experience this:sleep paralysis
I've never had this and I feel deprived.
Someone teach me.
I get very, uh, deep dreams though. I become totally involved in my dream and totally believe it's real once I wake up, causing temporary confusion (who am I and why am I in this bed?).
Lately I've been having lots of nightmares, though, mostly about spiders, being abandoned, doing badly in school, and getting raped.C is for Charisma, it's why people think I'm great! I make my friends all laugh and smile and never want to hate!Comment
