And 700 mb of loops. But that's not what I'm posting for.

I would like to know how to start making music with it. Any good websites? Anyone willing to teach me how to use it?

Right click on that 700 MB loop download and click delete. You won't be needing that. Unless it has samples in it too, because FL's samples are terrible.

The main way to improve with using FL is experiment. With everything. Start off experimenting with the 3xOsc generator, it's the most simplistic. Mess with all the knobs and listen to how they change the sound. Experiment combining different waveforms too.

Once you're relatively comfortable with how a basic generator works, you might want to go look for some VSTIs, or if you have FL XXL, start experimenting with Sytrus. When you first open Sytrus it'll look really intimidating, but you'll get used to it.

Also look at the files in the cool stuff folder. Look at how a song is set up in the playlist and other stuff. But don't try to copy anything from those songs, all of us FL users here can recognize them pretty easily.

      Nothing beats video tutorials.

FL's a great program. Good luck.

About that 700 mb download, I don't know what's in it. I'm getting it from Demonoid. And it's in an .mdf file or something like that.

And yeah, I got XXL. I looked at Sytrus briefly, and you're right, it was intimidating. Thanks for the info.

And Darkbear, I'll look at that.

EDIT: Thanks for that link DarkBear, but I have FL7 XXL.

Experiment. That is the best way to learn things.

Sytrus really is intimidating. I've had it about 4 months now, and I still don't know how to use it. Got it during the last "Group Buy". It's the only FLS plug-in I own that doesn't come with the Producer Edition.

Ah, I remember the good 'ol days of FL Studio. I wrote a piano song with it before I knew almost anything about music and chord theory which surprisingly came out pretty good given my lack of experience. Now that my pirated subscription expired, I'm sad because I can't open up the piano roll and tweak it to absolute awesomeness or at LEAST transcribe it into Finale.
